Hi,

Every now and then, my wagon gives off a strong smell of gas. I've let it idle and checked for leaks and I can't find any. There are never any spots under the car and it is definitely noticeable while driving. Just not all the time.

My wife drives the car most of the time and she thinks the smell is stronger when the tank is under 1/4 full and when the car is going down hill. I think that rules out my initial thought that was a leaky tank.

Any help will be appreciated.
