I have been plagued with an ABS dash warning light ever since I cleaned off all my ground point connectors (with the battery disconnected). I have cleaned the sensors, checked the ground connectors, checked the motor and diode in the hydralic unit, replaced the surge protector, and will replace both hydralic unit relays as soon as the new ones arrive. I note in an earlier post that the diagnostic code should be reset which is probably my problem. The post says to look under the hood for: - "The "Diagnostic Link Connector box(es)" are black plastic boxes with snap closure lids, under the lid are numbered holes for the probe. The "Diagnostic Link Connector probe" is the black wire with a "bullet" connector, in a holder on the side of the plastic box."- I have printed out the ABS FAQ pages.
I have carefully looked under the hood of my 1989 745 Turbo with a flashlite and see nothing that looks like a DLC box. Just where is it exactly, under the hood or under the dash? Left side or right side? Near the hydralic unit or near the firewall? Foreward or aft of the McPhearson strut? Has anyone found this on an 89 Turbo? Please help, I have the Volvo service wiring guide and it does not show any DLC box in any schematic or drawing. HELP - this light is driving me nuts!
