Is there a sending unit in the tank of an 89 760?? Not in the FAQ's 700

Checking Groton, and they show pump, sock, other stuff - but no sending unit for an 89 760.

I note there is an EXPENSIVE intank sending unit for 760's ending in 87.

335.00 for an in tank sending unit is a bit steep - so I hope I do not need it for my 89.
