88 240 timing belt questions 200 1988

On my 240 with a B230F, I'm having some problems with getting the timing correct. I've got the thiming belt covers off and ready to go, but I'm waiting for the tool to lock the crankshaft. Anyway, the timing is off by several teeth. My question is, once I get the crank pulley and old belt off, can I just rotate the cam/crank/aux shafts to fix this? I can't see it being a problem as this is a non-interference engine, but I want to be sure.
