I am replacing the rear end of my '70 with one from a '72 but before the swap, I will do bushings and the outer bearings and seals on the axles. Problem is the backing plates on the replacement rear end are completely rusted away.

Not knowing many details of 240s and not having a 240 parts manual to compare part numbers, can anyone tell me if 240 backing plates will fit a 140 rear end?
