My wife's car stopped running, she's got my truck again and it is prime upland hunting season (my dogs are counting on me to get this thing going). Can anyone help a brick out!
I have been referencing the Haynes manual (Volvos 1976-1993 Gasoline models #97020). Here is where I am...
When jumping fuses 4 and 6 the main fuel pump runs.
The manual indicates with the ignition on, jumping terminals 30 and 87/2 in the relay connector will run the pump. I am not finding that to be the case. However termial 85 is hot so jumping terminals 85 to 87/2 runs the pump.
The manual instructs to test for voltage on terminal 87/2 when cranking and there just never is, that is whether the relay is plugged into the connector or not.
None of this seems to help with performing a Fuel Relay check? It seems that determining if the relay is operational would be a bit more straight forward.
Any help filling in where the manual leaves off? Are the differences an indication of something else? It would sure be appreciated,
Sincerely,
- Mike
