95 940 car rattles and shudders at idle 900 1995

need help,

160k miles, well-maintained, engine/tranny strong, shifts well, no noise or vibration on take-off, around town or freeway. BUT, when idling at a light, even though engine idles smoothly, the car body shakes, rattles and shudders.

Any experience or advice on this condition? Could it be that my exhaust, (which has some minor carbon build-up/leakage around pipe joints) be the problem? Back pressure? Bad CAT?
