My odometer on my 1991 245 SE has failed, AGAIN. I bought the new gear and replaced it. That helped for a while (a few months), now it has pooped out again. Is there another common problem or fault with these odometers other than the gear? Can the numbers, tumblers, be lubricated somehow (graphite)? Is the sensor subject to failure? Where is it?
