Crank shaft positioning sensor replacement 200 1993

Has anyone replaced the crank shaft positioning sensor
on 1993 240 ? What were the symptoms of bad one,
and how did you replace it ? There is virtually no room
doing it from the top. Can it be reached from underneath ?
Any tips would be greatly appreciated.
Meantime I’ll study yoga, and cut back on carbs….
