Somewhere - on ebay, I think -- just last week, a guy had two of the reinforcement plates for upper rear shock mounts on a 140. (the fan-like steel member welded into the wheel arch above the shock)

Did anybody see them advertised? Did anybody save the reference?

I didn't take much interest because I believed they were something on;y a race car would need.

Now I find devastating rot on the right rear inner wheel hump of my '69 144s restoration project.

I need one of these platesso I can cut out mine and weld a good one in.

Anybody?
