OK, here's another question about quietest/smoothest this and that. Which year 240 had the smoothest and quietest engine? Again, I have heard different opinions as to which Volvo engine was the most pleasant to live with. Some claim the early 240s, some claim the later models. From those of you who have driven cars with different series of the 2.3, which year(s) of 240 seems to have the smoothest and quietest running engine? I'm not trying to pose a troll question at all, but I would sure like to hear some opinions from 240 drivers that have some broad experience with early and late 240s.
