AM Radio/Static Question

I am new to the Volvo community and could not be more happy with my "new" 94'944 Turbo, the car received a clean bill of health from the local Volvo dealership; however, when I am listening to talk radio on AM station I can hear every function of the car (acceleration, turn signal, etc) through the radio. The car has the original radio (CR-814) and would like to keep it, does anyone know of a quick fix or a solution?
