I rebuilt the master cylinder tonight. Luckily I read the manual which described the tiny pin hole (equalizing hole) between the cylinder and the fluid reservoir - or else I would have missed it for sure! I was able to clean it up real nicely and "bore" or hone it out with a socket from a socket wrench set wrapped in fine sand paper. It worked pretty good. I wasn't able to check the clearances, however, since I don't have any feeler gauges that thin. I guess I need to buy some.
Does anyone know what the torque is on the master cylinder components - such as the brake light switch fitting, the brake line "three-way union" fitting, the reservoir cap? I can not seem to find anything in the manuals. Is this just another "good and tight" setting? :)
Thanks in advance.
