A Few AW-70 Transmision Questions 200 1984

Hello,
I have a few question about my transmission, in my 84 244GL, that I was hoping to get some feedback on. First, What does 'Valve Resonance' sound like?
Every manual I've looked at regarding auto tran. refer to this sound and all say its of no worry.
Second, Will the flush method described by Bently and IPD catalog flush my torque converter. I am confused on the topic, as I have read other posts saying that it does, but I have also seen manuals that claim that the torque converter can only be flushed after it is disassembled. Infact, in my bentley manual in the front section with all of the specs., under the automatic trans. heading, for the aw70, there is an astric next to the fluid quantity value. At the bottom of the section the astric has an explanation that there is a certian quantity of fluid( a significant amount) that can only be changed by disassembly of the trans. I dont have the manual beside me so I cant quote the exact ammount. I am getting mixed messages in my interpretation of this concept. Could some one please clarify?
Third, The reason I am asking these questions and have been reading much on the topic is that when I changed my tailshaft bushing and seal along with my trans filter, I now get this whistling sound from that general area. The sound ocours when I step on the gas while cruising. If I press the gas some, it will whistle, but if at that point I press even further it will stop. It only whistles in a certian range of accelerator travel. I assume its comming from the trans, since it wont make the noise while at a standstill, and it happens when accelerating. Is this whistling sound 'valve resonance'? Does anyone recognise this noise? Its not my front u-joint or my support bearing(and related stuff). I am worried that this is the first sign of transmission failure. Also, it doesent leak although it kind of looks likeit aroung the pan gasket, as it is allways red and wet. Fluid level is right on. I also changed my cross-shaft seals, which is what was leaking before.

Thanks for all of your help, Ken
