I'm swapping my hazed, chalking wagon taillights for a set of aftermarket RED-CLEAR-CLEAR-RED taillights I got off ebay. I had them for over a month but I finally found time to do the job today. Well, I thought it would be a straight forward job, but I guess not. I got the two bolts off and removed all four bulbs. I have yet to unplug all the wires, but before I do that I want to loosen up the taillight from the mount. For some reason, the old taillight lens will not budge from its grip. Before I get frustrated and apply gorilla force (breaking something probably), what is the PROPER way to remove the taillight lens? Should it just loosen its grip once the two bolts and the bulbs are removed? Mine doesn't seem to be doing that!
Last question, do I screw in the ground wire first (black with O-ring at one end) or it doesn't matter?
Thanks!
