fuel gauge meter 900 1993

For about 1 year the fuel gauge meter was showing lower reading after the change of in-tank pump. When I pump till I could literally see oil indicating 100% full, the fuel gauge show reading between 3/4 and full tank. When it is3/4 tank reading, I could pump in about 11 liters only instead of 18 liters I used to do. So, it is clear the gauge reading is slightly below the actual.My tank capacity is 75 liters. Does anyone has the same problem and how do you fix it?
