gearbox/diff noise 200 1980

THERE IS A GROANING NOISE THAT SEEMS TO COME FROM THE GEARBOX (BW55) OR THE DIFF ON MY 262C WHEN IT IS IN FIRST OR COASTING WHEN HELD IN 2 OR 1. IS THIS A DUD BEARING IN THE GEARBOX OR THE DIFF?
