backup lights no longer work! Help!! 200 1992

The backup lights on my 1992 240 no longer light up, although no other problems with lighting or the shifter (overdrive etc) are present. Im guessing there is some sort of relay to blame? I recently replaced the tailight assemblies and the backup lights didnt work before or after installation. Fog light works, as well as all other aspects of the tail lights. Its been this way for a few years. Any help?
