volvo wont start 700

my 87 760T wont start. it turns over and im pretty sure the fuel system is working fine but it doesnt catch. i tried to start it 2 weeks ago and the engine caught, ran very roughly for about 30 seconds and then cut out. since then the engine wont start. ive checked the starter, ignition coil, fuel relay, fuel pumps and wiring and they're all fine.

i think something that deals with the timing might have gone broken, but i have no idea what could have broken suddenly that would prevent the car from starting (didnt find anything in the FAQs). please help!
