The wife's '87 245 has me wondering. It has been lighting up the dash lights when going over bumps. Also when the rpms are high, the amp light will glow and a voltmeter in the cigar lighter confirms the buss voltage is dropping. Kind of reminds me of the time the crankshaft damper was slipping, but that does not seem to be the case now. When that happened the power steering quit along with every thing else and it was like the car stalled only it was still driving. I replaced the alternator brushes not too long ago and it was working good. Could this electrical gremlin be a failing ignition switch? She has been reporting weird occurances where things like the rear window defrost come on and turn off by themselves. Any ideas? Thanks for your help.
