Fuel smell 700 1991

My 91 740 T smells strongly of fuel outside near the rear of the car after I stop driving it. There is no smell in the morning, or after work when I go out. No puddles that I can see either. Doesn't appear to be related to fuel level in the tank. Car starts and runs as it always has. I haven't had a chance to crawl under yet, and of course we got snow that stayed last night!

Any ideas before I take a look at it on the weekend?
