Sealing a leaking windshield without removing it 200

I replaced the windshield a couple of weeks ago, and I'm seeing some small leaks. I'd like to fix them ASAP, as winter is rapidly approaching. It is a 93-style windshield with the black, sticky gunk holding it in place.

I'm looking for advice on the best way to tackle the leaks. Silicone caulk from the inside seems to be the easy way, but I'm afraid of trapping water in between the frame and the windshield...

Do I need to to remove the windshield and put it in again, or is there an easier way?
