I am often reminded of the materials and workmanship used in our 700's. I was recently inside the doors doing some PM. I had a regulator that was acting up.

There was little debris and the parts were like new (All Zinc & Cadmium plated). What really amazed me was the condition of weather stripping inside the window channels. Still pliable & holding the windows tight after 20 years! I always wondered why this was such a tight car with little rattles. This was a sore point with some cars I've driven.

Not a bit of rust inside either. Try this with some of that Jap Crap!
