Timing belt blues 900

92 960. Changed all pulleys, everything going Ok till I tried to put new belt on. It seems to be too small. Has the same part number as the belt I removed, but its just tooooo short. I removed the tensioner and checked to see that the pin was seated as far down as i could get it. Any suggestions?? anyone?? please. help...
