Hello, I am wondering if it is necessary to use head gasket sealant when changing a head gasket. I was reading a engine building book that said to use it on the block side at least, and both if the manufacturer called for it. I put mine on shiny clean metal without anything on either side, 9 months ago. Am I going to have problems from it? Will it last? Thanks Kenneth
