Bad strut mounts 200 1986

I had my strut mounts replaced along with my struts less than 2 years ago.THe struts, KYB, are fine. The aftermarket mounts look terrible, lots of cracks and they are buldging much worse than the originals ever did; they look dangerous. I have read other posts about poor aftermarket mounts; I wish I had seen those posts before I bought these parts. I was thinking of SKF unless there are better suggestions from you. Also, can someone please describe the ease or difficulty of this project. I had the struts installed by a mechanic and would like to do this myself.
