Rear Brake Light Cover Removal 900

This is the third high deck brake light on my 940 sedan. The owner's manual says, "depress latch with screwdriver and remove cover with both hands." The depiction shows the screwdriver going under the bottom of the cover.
For the life of me, I can't figure it out. I can't see or feel any latch. I just know I am going to break that brittle plastic.

Any advice?
