Had some snow here in upstate New York today. My normally dependable brick ('89 240) cranked like blazes but refused to turn over.
The same thing happened three weeks ago, and I think it was a damp day that day, too, if memory serves me right. When it happened that time, I had it towed to the local shop (didn't go to my regular Volvo guy), and he said he removed plugs and dried it out and it started right up. In his defense, he charged me very little for doing it.
Any guesses on this one? My instinct is to buy some plug wires and put them on and see what happens. I'm also guessing it'll start tomorrow. Might I do well to buy a coil and replace that while I'm at it? The wires are a couple years old, and I don't recall replacing the coil. I've owned the car three years.
thanks....Fiddlin' Mike
