Attention Brickboarders!!!!!!!
I recently purchased a 64 544 restoration project because it had a completely rebuilt B18 with it, and at the time I thought I was going to have to re-build my engine due to low compression and a rough idle. I then discovered the low compression was due to a bad compression gauge and the rough idle was the carburator. Now I would like to see if anyone is interested in purchasing this project, and here are the details. rolling chassis, with a very restorable body. Two of the floor pans have been replaced- Needs one more done. Doors attached to body & in good condition. Some rust in rear of trunk, some rust has been cut out inside the front areas of both rear fenders, but repairs have not been made. Windshield and rear side glasses and rear glass are not installed, but come with the car. The dash has been removed, but is there, along with one extra dash (with instrument panel, radio and glove box door. There is also an extra engine block, a 4 speed and a 3 speed transmission. There is a 4 speed trans. in the car. Also- Extra head, right front fender, hood and deck lid. I did hear the engine run, and it sounds very strong, but the SU's need some adjustment, and perhaps a kit. The engine carried 70 lbs oil pressure. The engine has new bearings, camshaft, lifters, rocker arms, pistons, rings, new fuel pump and new starter. There is no radiator or front bumper with the car. If anyone is interested (or knows someone that might be), I can be reached at jimb@grandsavingsbank.net or at 918-786-4321 day or night. Thanks
