Hi all. I'm sure this is in the archives, but I can't find it!

I want to install rear speakers in my '88 245. The door panels show no sign of speakers ever being there. Online sources say that 4" is the maximum size, but the bb forums mention 5.25" speakers too.

What is the max size I can install (have installed more likely, since I'm not sure I'm up to wiring them to the amp) in the rear doors without monkeying with the sheet metal?
