I'm finally about to embark on extensive headlight mods, including installing quad rounds. I already have plans to install an extra relay to off of the terminal 56b of the step relay to shorten the path of power to the low beams by sending power from the junction block to the switched side of the new relay directly to the lights (cuts out the bulb failure sensor and several trips through the firewall).
On the high beam side, though, I notice that the path of power seems to be directly from the junction block, through the step relay to the high beams. Does it make any sense to install more relays for the high beams? I don't figure I could shorten that circuit, but I could provide power seperately to each side. Note, please, that there will be four bulbs lit when I have the high beams on, though I use them sparingly.
