How do you bypass A/C compressor with Power Steering 200 1988

I lived without power steering and A/C for long enough!
I just moved from a warm climate to way up here in the mountains and I think I can finally do without my A/C but the curvy mountain roads are hard to navigate without power assist. Is there a kit I can buy or better yet, some sort of homebrew solution?
Also, my shocks and struts need to be replaced and I was planning on buying the boge automatic, but now that I'm ready to get them I can't find them anywhere! I checked fcp groton and vlvworld, Anyone know where they have gone? Thanks! James
