Nivomat on a non irs rearsuspension 900 1994

I Just bought my 1st Volvo. A 1994 960 wagon. I need help with rear shock identification. I have a non irs rear suspension in my wagon. In other words
a solid standard differential rear but it looks like I have nivomat shocks.
Is that possible? From what I've read on the web only IRS rear suspension
Volvos came with Nivomat shocks in the rear end. If somebody could shed some light on this subject I would appreciate it.
