Intermittant Sound System Amplifier 700

Hi;

I have a 1990 760 wagon that has a what appers to be a loose connection in the radio wiring. I pulled the radio and verified that the connectors and cable tothe radio were good. Is there an amplifier hidden somewhere that may be causing the rear speakers to drop out and then come back at times while driving? Purhaps a connector that needs plugged in tighter?
