I was thinking to my self that now is a great time to add some sort of sound insulator with the HVAC unit removed from the car (along with just about everything else.)



So the question is what should I use? I've read through a lot of subjects in the archives on this, but none of those folks had the entire dash removed.

I'm starting to run low on cash, but I want to do this job right the first time.

What precautions can I take to make sure that I protect the floor from water? I'm going to take this time to seal up any areas letting water in, but I still worry about it.
