wheel vibration 200 1992

My 244 has a right-side wheel/tire vibration/clunking problem. It has some funny characteristics though. When the road that I'm driving on has a slope to the right, the vibration is very bad and the car pulls to the right. Usually when I correct for the pull the vibration goes away for a few seconds. The funny thing is when the road is "flat" like the left-hand lane on a highway, the vibration is almost none existant. There are also times when the vibration/clunking never happens. I have done the push/pull and side to side tests and these reveal nothing to me. The wheels/tires have been checked for balance and no problems there. I am thinking wheel bearing or ball joints. I am planning on a complete overhaul of the front suspension when my cash flow is a little better, but need some advice as to what I can do now. I do not think the situation is dangerous, just annoying. If anyone has any insight or advice, I would appreciate it. I have other vehicles to drive, but so enjoy driving my BRICK and do not want to park it, if I don't have to.
