Cat converter flange worn out 700 1989

The engine pipe/ converter joint on my son's 89 740 B234F has been leaking lately and finally failed today. It seems as though the cat flange has fatigued/deteriorated to the point where it partially slid over the flared end of the cat, allowing the joint to loosen up. The head pipe is recent and its' flange and flare is in good shape. Is there a replacement flare/flange available out there? I'm sure this whole thing has been played with before as the flanges were fastened with 3- 5/16x 2" bolts.
Thanks again folks.
