After new front seal on my 760GLE '89 engine starts but misfires when depressing the throttle. I can get it up to 2400 rpm then it just cuts off and will only restart if I first turn ignition off. It does this even when hot. When ignition is on I can feel/hear a "humming" sound from the IAC. I had the airbox disconnected during the repair, could I have made some damage to the AMM or the ignition power stage?
Before I started the repair I cleaned the engine with detergent and water (oil all over the front) but the engine ran fine after that, at least the 5 meters reversing into my garage was perfectly ok, no misfiring.
