No fatalities in a 240 between 1988 and 1993 ? 200

I was reading an old issue of Rolling the other day, and I came across a letter to the editor wherein the writer claimed that no one died in a 240 between the years of 1988 and 1993.

There wasn't any qualification for location, implying that no one *anywhere* in the world died in a 240 for 5 straight years.

As sturdy as I know these cars are, I'm a little skeptical that not one person drove off a cliff (or something) in a 240 for that long.

Anyone else ever heard this statistic? Confirmations? Denials?

Just curious.
