AMM? 200 1986

I need confirmation on my diagnosis. It's freezing cold (5 degrees) here in Green Bay, and my previously well-running '86 245 refused to start again after driving it home just minutes before. It would fire up, but after the initial rev the engine would die. I checked all connections, no change. Then I unplugged the AMM, and it started up and idled just fine. I just ordered a new one (the cheapest) on alloemvolvoparts.com, and want to know if there's anything more I should check. Thanks in advance, everyone.
