Hi all, I have a 91' 780. I had a fillup tonight and the gas pump dude kept trying to slam the fuel door shut when he was done, instead of just firmly pressing it close. I usually tell them but I did not want to make a fuss tonight. Anyway, on the way home on the freeway I noticed that the door was open.
After returning home I noticed that it was not closing. It was a very cold night (close to freezing) so I dont know if that had anything to do with it, but it was not catching as usual. I did get it closed and then inserted my key in the space on the left side of door and moved the door gently towards the catch on the right side. I heard a small 'click', and figured all was OK. Do you think it was just the cold weather that made the door hard to close or that the gas pump dude broke the piece that keeps the door closed? If so, is it an easy fix?
thanks!
