So my throttle linkage bushings are nonexistant. There are two spots where the linkage goes into the firewall. The top spot has a remnent of a rubber bushing and the lower hole has a gromet that's fallen out of place.
So I've been looking for new bushings etc. And found a listing at VP which follows:
666143 is a nylon bushing 5/8" outer diameter 3/8" inner diameter 1/2" thick with a 1/8" grove round the circumference . It is used in the throttle linkage on 544 122 1800 and 140/164 .
But when I look that Part No. up in the Volvo parts book I get a bushing for the tailgate of a 145 (Page 82, Group 8 from 140- Series - 1972)
The Part No that is listed is 676040 "Rubber accel. shaft (bushinghing) For Volvo" which is offered at Scandcar...
My parts book shows Part Nos 675689 and 683628 as the bushings for the lower hole, but I haven't had any luck locating those yet.
Now I've never owned a 140 before it's been molested, so I don't really know what originally should be where etc.
What should I be getting? I imagine the top bushing is the most critical.. is it supposed to be rubber or nylon?
Thanks for any input.
