Think I have a reason for gas mileage problems S90-V90

I noticed something rather odd today: the heater motor would stop working abruptly and when ever I put my foot on the brake pedal the fan would come back on just as fast. At first I thought my fan motor was going out, but this putting my foot back on the brake pedal and causing the heat to come on again was rather odd in the least.
After thinking about it , my good gas mileage was the best when the weather was warm and I wasn't running the heater.
There has to be a major vacuum leak somewhere for this to be happening,
Any Ideas anyone? I will be looking into the problem in the AM,if I find whats causing this ,will post the cause.
