'A' or 'B' Circuit Alternator ? 900 1996

How can I tell if I have a "A" circuit or a "B" circuit alternator in my 1996 960 ? I bought a little test gadget (full fielder test adapter kit) but I'm not sure which part of the kit I should use. I know its an Internal regulator, but how do I tell the differance between an "A" (grounds the field)or "B" (powers the field) ? Bosch Alt #0 123 500 006 Thanks to all in advance, Dubs
