Occasionally my 88 240DL's lights(instrument & headlights)will dim and the car eventually shut off on me when I simultaneously engage the brakes and use the turn signal, which of course is when I'm about to turn or in the process of turning. This doesn't happen when idling in the driveway, only during operation on the road.
The battery seems to be fine so the original alternator seems to be putting out. Has anyone ever experienced this before or have any ideas??
