very unusual warning indicator lights solved 900

Driving home from work on Friday I experienced a sequence of perplexing occurrences on my 95 940. About 2 miles into my commute 5 various warning lights illuminated, but only at about 1/3 intensity. Stayed like that for next 5 miles, then the lights went out. Shortly thereafter, the ABS and SRS warning light came on at high intensity. About 5 miles later the radio went dead! Now I'm getting worried. 2 miles later the engine stopped!
So I lifted the hood and I immmediately saw the problem. The bolt used to adjust the alternator belt tension had snapped in half, causing the alt belt to go slack. So I was driving on battery power for some time. I'm sure that explains all the unusual events. Saturday I bought a new adjustment assembly and charged the battery! Voila, the car runs fine again.
