engine won't shut off ??? 200 1990

Hi guys this is a good one, sold a customer a replacement 556 (egr 89-93 240) computer, he installed it car started fine, drove it car ran fine, went to shut it off and the key turned, lights went out but the car kept running??? My gut said bad ign switch or fuel pump relay. He said he reinstalled the old computer, which had probblems, and the car started and shut off. His local shop said my computer was bad Im thinking it maybe now but what is the real cause. Anybody had this happen before??? Thanks Brian 301-367-2244
