Hello all,
My wife's 940 Turbo Wagon with 147k on the odometer has developed a new problem. If the temp drops below say 20 degress it won't start. It will eventually after 10 minutes of cranking and accelarator pumping etc, and then when it finally does start, if pumps a big black cloud of smoke. Also not sure if its related but if the outside temp is low and the engine is warm, it doesn't want to idle. It stumbles and hesitates on acceleration and once you're on your way its fine, I've taken to slightly holding down the accelerator and brake at traffic lights to keep it from cutting out, which it does if just left to idle. I maintain the car regularly, all systems are clean, throttle body, intecooler etc. Over the summer I redid the injector seals and intake gasket to fix a vacuum leak I couldn't find. Not sure what's going on here. What regulates this when its cold? ECU temp sensor maybe? Not sure. Any help or ideas appreciated.
Thanks...
