Mystery oil line or something damaged under 740 in accident 700 1990

I'm looking at a 90 740 that is for sale that looks like it was driven off road and sustained some damage to the undercarriage. I have done a fairly good visual inspection and seen one possible problem that may cause me to pass on buying the vehicle. There is an oil line or some type of line that has been ripped loose from it's connection on one end. I can't see how it routes well enough to tell where it connects. The damaged line is connected at the rear location and has pulled loose from it's forward attachment point but I can see where it should attach. The tow truck guy says that has the vehicle that it was driven into the location and parked. I have checked the oil and none is showing on the dip stick (clue). It is a DOHC 2.3 engine with 116K on it. Any suggestions on how to get the oil line or whatever the line is fixed? Can it be fixed if it was pulled loose when it left the road? I was thinking about investing some time into getting the line repaired and filling it with oil and see if it runs as a possibility. It does not look like any tie rods or suspension parts are bent or damaged - it was driven to it's current resting spot. I bought another vehicle this same way and it was fixed and is still on the road although it sustained damage to the tie rod and panhard rod. thanks
