Our Volvo Short Story 700 1988

These are the facts. We have owned both Volvo's & Toyota's . The fact is the Toyota's ; 1 is a 96 Corolla & the other is a 97 Tercel. The longer we owned the 740 Volvo non-turbo wagon, the more I found myself feeling as if I was working on a Ford product. Constant maintenance & repairs. The plan truth is this. The Toyota's are the best cars on the road today . This is not just my opinion , but , fact. Look in Consumers Reports and see for yourself. The truth about Volvo is , like any mass produced car , you can keep any of them running as long as you want too. Volvo's are NOT cost effective. They are nothing more than a persons hope that the car won't break down. They are nothing but a collectable, like bottle caps or baseball cards (but they don't break down). So, We have learned that Volvo's are a Ford. Nothing more. The records- world wide show Volvo's are near the bottom of the auto chain. Toyota's on the other hand , enjoy a excellent record all the way around. To those of you thinking about buying a Volvo, keep in mind that you will pay more than it's worth. If you need a large car or wagon, buy a Ford, they are a lot cheaper to buy parts for. If your wanting is for a excellent car, new or used, than buy a Toyota and save the pains of problems you will most asureidly have with a Volvo.
